Boat trips to the Isle of May

The Isle of May is a small island off the east coast of Scotland, in the north of the outer Firth of Forth. It is a national nature reserve. As it is free from many of the predators found on the mainland, it provides a safe breeding site for hundreds of species of birds. It is also a large breeding site for grey seals.

Sailings to the Isle of May run from Anstruther between April and September each year. Parking is available 200m from the harbour. Some of the boat trips will drop you off at the pier on the island, so you can explore on foot. Some may include a guided tour.
