Although one of the youngest distilleries in Scotland, starting life in 2015, Kingsbarns Distillery has already proved itself to be the producer of some of the best spirit in the country. Situated just half an hour away from us along the coast, the distillery produces a wonderful collection of whisky and gin. It makes for a great place to visit, where you can see the hard work which goes into each bottle, and even enjoy some yourself after a tour.

For gin lovers, there are also plenty of gin tours as well. These include Darnley’s Gin School where you can become a distiller for the day! Create your very own and unique gin – pefect as a gift or to enjoy when you get back to your Woodside apartment.
If you can’t make it to the distillery (or don’t want to carry heavy bottles about with you all day!) you can always buy a range of their drinks from their website. This is a great idea to do after you have visited, and have an idea about what you like and what your friends and family would like too.
