Places to visit near Woodside

Guests staying with us at Woodside holiday homes have plenty of choice when it comes to exciting days out. Based here in the north of Fife, on the east coast of Scotland, you can explore cities, towns and villages, all within a short drive. If you prefer not to drive, there are some excellent local guided tours, which will take you by coach.

Cities, towns and villages

We are just 4 miles from the town of St Andrews, where you’ll find so much history, beautiful beaches, grand architecture and glorious golf. Dundee is our nearest city, and this is a great place to visit for museums, history, art and culture. Then, there are several other towns and villages in the surrounding area that are well worth a day trip. From the traditional fishing villages in the East Neuk of Fife, to inland towns such as Cupar and Falkland.

Exploring the east coast

Fife is known for its charming coastal towns and villages, each one with its own unique characteristics. A road trip down the Fife coast from St Andrews will take you to some spectacular places. They include Kingsbarns, Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem, St Monans and Elie. You can also walk from village to village on the Fife Coastal Path.
