The history of golf in Kingbarns dates back to 1793, when the Kingsbarns Golfing Society was established. There were two previous courses in the village, before the current Kingbarns Golf Links opened in 2000. This modern links course is frequently rated as one of the best in the world. Set on the dramatic Scottish coastline, it offers spectacular views over the North Sea. The course has hosted or co-hosted several championships, including the Dunhill Links Championship, St Andrews Trophy and Women’s British Open.
