Play world-class golf courses, including the iconic Old Course, known as the “home of golf”. Learn all about the historic game and its roots at the World Golf Museum. Take in the history of the town at the ruins of St Andrews Castle and Cathedral. Enjoy a stroll along West Sands Beach. Delve into the deep at St Andrews Aquarium. Visit St Andrews Heritage Museum and its tranquil gardens. All of this and more is within the town centre.
Within a short drive of the town centre, there are many other fantastic attractions. Visit the Kingsbarns Distillery and Visitor Centre and discover how Scotch whisky is made on a distillery tour. Or if gin is your tipple of choice, head to Darnley’s Gin Cottage for a guided tour. Both tours include tastings, and the designated driver will get a wee sample to take away and try later. Take a walk in the Georgian walled garden at Cambo Gardens for some peace and quiet. Or explore the spectacular gardens and displays at St Andrews Botanic Gardens.
